Jennifer Luner

I am very happy to be back on the Board again and serving as Webmaster.  Being Webmaster is a challenge, but we have a great Web design team dedicated to keep you up-to-date with all the happenings in Unit 143.  We always appreciate your comments and requests of how to make the site better for our member players.

I started playing bridge in 1976 after finishing graduate school.  I read a book on bridge (Roth-Stone approach), the first book I had read for pleasure in probably six years, and just knew I understood the game.  My cousin took me to June Branca's game up on Natural Bridge, and between the characters there and the game itself, I was hooked.  About 30 years later is when I finally started to understand the game!

My early partners were John Farmer, Tom Oppenheimer, then when I lived in South Carolina I played with Brian Lipscomb and Eddie Myers. Now my favorites are Sue George, Carol Hamilton, Ed Hale, and of course, my husband, Lee Hastings.  All have taught me about both bridge and life!

I worked for over 20 years for Monsanto in a large variety of positions from chemist to industrial hygienist to sales rep to corporate trainer and training manager to EEO manager to organizational development director to HR Director.  I have been retired for almost 15 years and sure am glad I retired young.

Lee and I love to travel and we love our cats, just ask Lee about Caesar and Cleopatra!
